What this place is

Small 2nd-floor room frequented by Koreans, with private rooms: dwaeji gukbap, odeng-tang, naengmyeon. No service charge.

Its price level is $$ compared with the other venues in the same building, and it is open open until midnight (opening time not published).

A home-style Korean kitchen built around stews, rice and side dishes rather than table grilling. Expect kimchi jjigae, sundubu jjigae (soft tofu stew) and bibimbap. Easy to order for one or two people.

Good to know before you go

  • Open late — One of the late-closing rooms in the building — workable after midnight, though it is worth calling to confirm the real closing time.
  • Mostly Korean regulars — The regulars are mostly Korean, which is a good sign for authenticity, though the English menu may be limited.

Getting there

The venue sits inside Sukhumvit Plaza at the mouth of Sukhumvit Soi 12, Khlong Toei. The easiest route is BTS Asok, Exit 2, then a 300 m walk toward Nana (3–5 minutes). From MRT Sukhumvit take the link to BTS Asok and follow the same walk. From BTS Nana it is about 5 minutes back toward Asok. Driving, there is a basement car park with the entrance on the Soi 12 side: roughly ฿30 for the first 2 hours, then ฿20 per hour. It fills up on Friday and Saturday nights.
