What this place is

Korean-Chinese institution on the 3rd floor: jjajangmyeon, jjamppong, tangsuyuk and kkanpunggi. The original branch of the chain.

Its price level is $$ compared with the other venues in the same building, and it is open daily 11:00–20:30 (some sources: closed 1st & 3rd mon).

A home-style Korean kitchen built around stews, rice and side dishes rather than table grilling. Expect kimchi jjigae, sundubu jjigae (soft tofu stew) and bibimbap. Easy to order for one or two people.

Good to know before you go

  • Jjajangmyeon — Serves jjajangmyeon and old-school Korean-Chinese dishes.
  • Fine for solo diners — Single-plate dishes and seating that does not feel awkward on your own.

Getting there

The venue sits inside Sukhumvit Plaza at the mouth of Sukhumvit Soi 12, Khlong Toei. The easiest route is BTS Asok, Exit 2, then a 300 m walk toward Nana (3–5 minutes). From MRT Sukhumvit take the link to BTS Asok and follow the same walk. From BTS Nana it is about 5 minutes back toward Asok. Driving, there is a basement car park with the entrance on the Soi 12 side: roughly ฿30 for the first 2 hours, then ฿20 per hour. It fills up on Friday and Saturday nights.
